On WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18th, STUNNA presents another special edition of 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE Radio. During this week's session, listeners will be treated to a return visit and guest mix from talented and versatile artist DAN GUIDANCE.
DAN GUIDANCE (aka DAN GUY), is a UK-based DRUM + BASS producer and label owner, mostly associated with the atmospheric, LIQUID side of the music. Seamlessly blending the sounds of JAZZ, DUB, SKA, TECHNO, HOUSE and WORLD music, DAN's DRUM + BASS tracks are an amalgamation of a life spent appreciating and studying various forms of music across the globe.
From his first release in the summer of 2011, DAN has released an impressive catalog of D+B classics with labels such as TECHNIQUE, FOKUZ, and FLIGHT PATTERN, gathering support from the likes of LONDON ELEKTRICITY, BBC RADIO 1, and BASSDRIVE DJs. When DAN's not writing solo material, he enjoys nothing more than a collaboration, and has worked with many artists in the scene such as DUOSCIENCE, BLADE, PHAT PLAYAZ, MARVEL CINEMA, FISHY, MATT VIEW and TWINTONE. He's also had his tracks remixed by the likes of ZERO T and RANDOM MOVEMENT, as well putting his own spin on tracks from the likes mSdoS and FX909.
DAN set up his own label, PORTAL RECORDINGS, in 2023, as a platform for his own tunes and artwork. PORTAL has had six releases thus far, and has gained huge support in the DRUM + BASS world and beyond. Recently, DAN has been working with HIP HOP vocalist SALEM FOCUS on, in his own opinion, some of his best work so far. Blending D+B + HIP HOP with JAZZ, SOUL, and WORLD music flavors, this is just the beginning for these two like-minded artists.
Be on the lookout for a string of releases from DAN yet to drop in 2024, including a massive 18 track LP on his PORTAL imprint, as well as forthcoming material on SOUL DEEP, OFFWORLD, LIZPLAY, and FOUR CORNERS.
