In this week's edition, STUNNA turns his attention to multi-faceted artist SPIKEY TEE, as he makes his debut appearance on the program, armed with both a guest mix and a brand new album to promote.

'THE OTHER SIDE OF ME' is the debut DRUM+BASS album from SPIKEY TEE, a renowned artist/DJ/producer/singer who began his career with UK rap pioneers THE SINDECUT in the late ‘80s early ’90s. He’s toured with legendary outfit SOUL II SOUL and later fronted the innovative band JAH WOBBLE AND THE INVADERS OF THE HEART. Further collaborations across several genres with esteemed artists and labels such as MORCHEEBA, MR SCRIFF, BLOOD AND FIRE RECORDS, and GRAND CENTRAL RECORDS have added to SPIKEY TEE’s rich and varied discography over the past three decades.
SPIKEY’s previous offerings in the DRUM+BASS genre have been released via imprints the likes of CONGO NATTY, LIQUID V, PLAYAZ RECORDINGS, DETAIL RECORDINGS, and FOKUZ RECORDINGS. Working in the studio domain with a number of talented producers, SPIKEY’s much sought-after vocal talents and ability to add an extra dimension to a myriad of projects have been highlighted many a time throughout the years.
Released via SPIKEY brand new label, QB RECORDINGS, 'THE OTHER SIDE OF ME' LP represents the spectrum of influences throughout his musical journey. With tinges of soulfulness weaving their way into the roots of JUNGLE, the album instills the listener with its REGGAE foundations and sensibilities before transporting you, hands up and hearts pumping, into a nostalgic rave.
The album’s self-described nature of being a ‘broad palette’ is fitting, making 'THE OTHER SIDE OF ME' an enjoyable listen, with its varied styles and vibes from beginning to end.
