On WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11th, STUNNA presents another special installment of 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE Radio. In this week's edition, STUNNA welcomes seasoned selector xSMITHx to the program for an exclusive debut guest mix.
xSMITHx (SMITHJUNGLIST, OVASTANDA_xSMITHx, aka KRISTOPHER SMITH) is a DJ and producer currently based out of CHICAGO (previously NEW JERSEY, and southern ILLINOIS). Operating primarily within the independent MIDWEST rave and club circuit, he has carved out a distinct niche for himself as a champion of JUNGLE, DRUM+BASS, HIP HOP, and contemporary BROKEN BEAT dance music. A military kid starting his musical journey in the EAST COAST underground and club kid scene, he returned to ILLINOIS for further education and began to DJ as FOZZIE (BEAR/SMITH). During summers, he traveled the MIDWEST music scenes catching DJs and JAM BANDS, allowing him to enjoy many different sounds and people during those formative times.
Over the years, xSMITHx has collaborated with independent organizations such as MIDDLE SCHOOL PRODUCTIONS, STROBEHOUSE, and crews within CHICAGO's impressive D+B/JUNGLE scene. He's played across the region, securing prominent support slots alongside legendary artists and musicians. Outside of physical venues, he maintains a steady online following by dropping the recurring experimental mix series 'LUNCH BREAKS TIME' via his SOUNDCLOUD page, and mini mixes on FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM. You can also catch him regulary on friendly RAID TRAINS and guest mixes via TWITCH.
Join us this session as xSMITHx makes his inaugural appearance on the show, armed with a brand new guest mix. Tune in!
