A ubiquitous figure in the CHICAGO DJ community, Searchl1te (aka RYAN KEESLING) traces common threads between movement, culture, and time. As a producer, Searchl1te constructs drum-and-bass-forward tunes with his own field recordings, samplings from a nerdy collection of vinyl, analog grit cranked out of piles of old gear, and in collaboration with the underground’s toughest lyricists and musicians. Searchl1te has toured nationally and internationally, held down a weekly radio show on WNUR 89.3 FM in CHICAGO for two decades, released dozens of tunes and remixes for labels around the world, and is a foundational member of CHICAGO's legendary BassByThePound crew.
