On WEDNESDAY, MAY 5th, STUNNA kicks off Season 16 of 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE Radio. In this week's session, STUNNA welcomes seasoned DJ, producer and label owner BOJ LUCKI to the program, in support of his brand new BUKVA SOUND label which launches next month.
STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN-based artist BOJ LUCKI has a long and storied history in the DRUM+BASS music scene. At a young age, BOJ became a promoter and resident in one of the largest D+B nights in SCANDINAVIA called 'REKYL' back in 2001. In the time since then, he has played a major role in the BASS MUSIC scene in SWEDEN. His dubwise selection has been heard in over 25 different countries on three continents with DJ performances at clubs and festivals in cities such as HONG KONG, TORONTO, LONDON, BARCELONA, SHANGHAI, PARIS, MOSCOW, BERLIN and PRAGUE.
In 2006, BOJ LUCKI formed the MIR Crew, alongside LJUDAS and TONI BASSI. Since then, the production trio has worked with legendary artists UK APACHE, TOP CAT, GENERAL LEVY, MILLION STYLES, and revered labels NINJA TUNE and JUNGLE CAKES. MIR have also been involved in the award-winning 'DAYTIME SESSIONS' at Trädgården in STOCKHOLM. Over many successful years, acts they booked for the sessions have included artists the likes of GOLDIE, SHY FX, DJ EZ, HIGH CONTRAST, FLAVA D, B TRAITS, LTJ BUKEM, REDLIGHT, ALIX PEREZ, BREAKAGE and JENNA G.
Bringing things up to date, JUNE 2021 will see the unveiling of BOJ LUCKI's new venture: the BUKVA SOUND imprint. With deep, ravey, and vibey JUNGLE and BREAKBEAT sounds from across the globe, the first vinyl and digital offering from BUKVA SOUND comes in the form of the 'ILLUSIONS' EP from RESPONSE and BUDA featuring LARA LEE. The burgeoning label has future releases lined up from a well-curated stable of like-minded artists including COCO BRYCE, THUGWIDOW, 0=0, TIM REAPER, MSYMIAKOS, MARCO LAZOVIC, CORAL and PLISKIN.
