On WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 26th, STUNNA closes out another busy month of broadcasts in 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE Radio. During this week's edition, STUNNA welcomes back revered producer OPIUS to the program for a special guest mix during the program.
LONDON, ENGLAND-based DRUM + BASS artist OPIUS (aka VINNIE SMITH) began learning music production in the mid '90s with a friend who had a home studio. In 2001, OPIUS set up his own studio, after acquiring hardware gear including an EMU sampler, KORG TRITON keyboard, TANNOY monitors, a SPIRIT mixing desk, various rack mount units, and a PC built especially for music production. By 2004, OPIUS' own label BALLPARK RECORDINGS, which has seen a number of quality releases supported by some of the top names in the global D+B scene. Over the years, OPIUS has produced and released a dizzying amount of DRUMFUNK/JUNGLE music for the likes of 36 HERTZ, AGN7 AUDIO, AMEN AUDIO, DANGER CHAMBER, FLEX, FORMATION, LOCKED UP MUSIC, OMNI MUSIC, PINECONE MOONSHINE, SILENT FORCE, SUBTLE AUDIO, TIME TUNNEL, WICKED JUNGLE, and of course, for his own BALLPARK RECORDINGS., which just released his brand new 'BPR CUBS III' EP on both vinyl and digital formats.
