'THE GREENROOM' Guest Mix from RISC - March 18, 2026

On WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18th, STUNNA moves deeper into the month of broadcasts in 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE radio. In this week's session, STUNNA welcomes versatile DJ and producer RISC to the show, for a special debut guest mix during the program.

RISC (aka BRAD NELSON) is an internationally-recognized DJ and recording artist producing under the monikers DJ EVOL and RISC. Over the years, his music has been featured on BBC RADIO, FUEL TV, SCION AV, SPOTIFY, ITunes, and SOUNDCLOUD. The DJ EVOL moniker has been an established player on the international DRUM+BASS scene for many years, releasing on highly lauded UK labels such as TRUE PLAYAZ, URBAN TAKEOVER, GRID, and CIA RECORDINGS. Originally from CHICAGO, RISC has found a home in LOS ANGELES and brings years of experience in BASS MUSIC production from residencies and radio airtime to the WEST COAST.

An original member of L.A.'s seminal SMOG collective, he was featured on the very first release from the crew's own record label. The inaugural release's smash hit "SICKNESS" was played on heavy rotation by PLASTICIAN on RINSE FM, and subsequently promoted in his 'WAKE UP CALL' mix in 2008. A respected name in the international electronic music community known for his versatility, BRAD has produced TECHNO under RISC for GREEN VELVET's RELIEF RECORDS, UKR RECORDS, EATS EVERYTHING EIGHT RECORDS, and BERLIN's GND RECORDS. Always bringing a unique, catchy, dancefloor approach to his production, his tracks have a humbling feeling, with memorable synth lines and an array of funky drums and rhythm.

Currently, RISC has been busy at work with 'THE PURPLE TAPES PROJECT' for the TORONTO-based INNER CITY DANCE imprint. With a strong nod and respect to the '90s era DOPE DRAGON, CHRONIC, PHILLY BLUNT, and FULL CYCLE RECORDS sound, 'THE PURPLE TAPES PROJECT' showcases RISC's prowess in the studio domain, as he captures these classic vibes, and pairs them with modern studio production. 'THE GREENROOM' Guest Mix from PHANTOM 45 - March 11, 2026

On WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11th, STUNNA presents another special installment of 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE radio. In this week's session, STUNNA welcomes back one of CHICAGO's veteran DRUM+BASS DJs to the show: PHANTOM 45 makes a return appearance, armed with an exclusive guest mix created especially for this broadcast.

PHANTOM 45 (aka BRIAN SARPALIUS) began his storied DJ career in 1987, playing early HOUSE music in his hometown of CHICAGO. After a few years spinning HOUSE, he graduated to early UK HARDCORE, the precursor to JUNGLE/DRUM+BASS.  D+B is the music style PHANTOM 45 is most well known for championing. He mixes it with a smooth style (much like a classic CHICAGO HOUSE DJ), with long blends and proper tune selections. PHANTOM 45 has traveled extensively over the years, playing for thousands of people in warehouses, festivals, and club date tours with his musical colleague DANNY THE WILDCHILD. He's released music and mixes on major labels such as MOONSHINE, SUBURBAN BASE, ROCKERS 175, SHOOT RECORDINGS and SURGE RECORDINGS. Currently, PHANTOM 45 is pumping out mixes (new and classic remasters) like a mad man on his MIXCLOUD page, and you can also catch him in CHICAGO on FRIDAY, MARCH 20th for 'JUNGLE GOT SOUL' alongside BEN SOUNDSCAPE, COLLETTE WARREN, and DANNY THE WILDCHILD at EPIPHANY CENTER FOR THE ARTS, as well as on FRIDAY, MARCH 27th alongside SHY FX at SOUNDBAR.

'THE GREENROOM' Guest Mix from DJ TRAX - February 25, 2026

On WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 25th, STUNNA closes out another busy month of broadcasts in 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE Radio. During this week's edition, STUNNA welcomes back one of DRUM+BASS music's legendary stalwarts to the show. Versatile selector and revered producer DJ TRAX returns to 'THE GREENROOM,' armed with a brand new guest mix created exclusively for this installment.

UK-based artist DJ TRAX (aka DAVE DAVIES) began his musical journey at a young age. He started drumming at 7, DJing at 12, and at 15, he formed the HIP HOP group MIXRACE alongside two MCs (DEV PARADOX and LEKE AEROSOUL). TRAX released his first track in 1991 on BRAIN RECORDS alongside DJ RAW. That same year, TRAX and DEV PARADOX signed to the MOVING SHADOW imprint. Over the next three years, he released solo 12"s on MOVING SHADOW under 'DJ TRAX' and joint releases with DEV under the 'MIXRACE' moniker.

In 1994, TRAX + PARADOX set up 5 record companies with SCOTT W and GARY S: MIXRACE PRODUCTIONS, MOBHANDED, NAUTILUS, OFFSET, and STRONGHOLD. They released a few dozen 12"s on the labels, both solo, and as a duo (as 'BROWN + DANGERMAN'). DAVE and DEV also collaborated with HYPER ON EXPERIENCE on the STRONGHOLD RECORDS and TIMELESS RECORDINGS imprints. From 1997 to 2003, DJ TRAX mainly focused on DOWNTEMPO/LEFTFIELD music. He released an album and two 12"s on LACERBA RECORDS an also had offerings for the GOOD LOOKING, KRIZTAL, MOLE, BEATS + PIECES, and HED KANDI imprints. From 2003 to 2009 TRAX released two further albums: "1,000 PICTURES," and "THOUGHTS IN WIDESCREEN" (which was featured on the front cover of an issue of KNOWLEDGE MAGAZINE).

Over the years, DJ TRAX has collaborated with many other esteemed artists by the likes of NAIBU, RICKY FORCE, NUCLEUS, DSP, MACC, INFEST, CRYOGENICS, ENJOY, KJ SAWKA, and BECKI BIGGINS. He has had successful releases on labels such as OUTSIDER MUSIC, PARADOX MUSIC, OCYRIS, AKO BEATZ, OMNI MUSIC, SKELETON RECORDINGS, TEMPO RECORDS, TRANSMUTE, NEXT PHASE, SUBVERT CENTRAL, SUBTLE AUDIO, CRISIS, SUBURBAN ARCHITECTURE, MISSPENT MUSIC, OKBRON, OVER/SHADOW, SCIENTIFIC RECORDS, DALSTON CHILLIES, OFFSHORE, REPERTOIRE, SYNCOPATHIC, and his own imprint: AUDIO BUFFET. He released a series of EPs with U.S.-based HIP HOP group ASSORTED ANONYMOUS, ultimately followed by a vinyl album. Alongside a plethora of DRUM+BASS releases over the years, TRAX has also written for many TV/multimedia projects and scored music included in the 2008 feature film 'SHIFTY.'

In this week's edition, STUNNA welcomes back seasoned selector SLANTOOTH for his third appearance on the program, armed with a brand new guest mix created exclusively for this session.

Upon stumbling on a METALHEADZ promo tape in 1996, SLANTOOTH's (aka MICHAEL LENOIR) obsession for DRUM+BASS music has never waivered. Scouring every record store that the WEST COAST had to offer on a weekly basis, not to mention working at SEATTLE's infamous CONCEPTS RECORDS store with his D+B family NITSUJ and ZACHARIA from the 360 BPM CREW, along with weekly mail orders from SAN FRANCISCO's COMPOUND RECORDS LTD, SLANTOOTH's selection and tastes go deep into the heart of DRUM+BASS. Becoming the buyer/owner of COMPOUND RECORDS LTD SEATTLE in 2001, SLANTOOTH continued to build his love of D+B, an even sharper ear for the mix, and an arsenal of vinyl beats. Being one of the first residents of DnB TUESDAYS at THE BALTIC ROOM in SEATTLE (alongside the 360 BPM CREW and ALO), and RUSH HOUR SEATTLE at THE WAR ROOM, SLANTOOTH has warmed the decks for scene luminaries the likes of GOLDIE, JUMPING JACK FROST, DILLINJA, LEMON D, FIERCE, RYME TYME, ED RUSH, OPTICAL, SPIRIT, USUAL SUSPECTS, and many more.

Moving from behind the decks into the studio domain, SLANTOOTH's original productions have seen release with UK's DIVISION BASS label, via SAN FRANCISCO's TECH SUPPORT RECORDINGS imprint, and forthcoming pressure on his home base COMPOUND RECORDS LTD. Originally from POLAND, burgeoning DRUM+BASS/JUNGLE DJ on the rise MATCHAY (aka MACIEJ SKURA) is now based in the northwest suburbs of CHICAGO where he's been honing is skills behind the decks. His selections blend different flavors of low-end bass music (BREAKBEATS, FOOTWORK, HOUSE, and GARAGE) with a style that draws subtle influences from JAZZ, HIP-HOP, and REGGAE.

MATCHAY was first introduced to DRUM+BASS music over a decade ago, then shortly thereafter, to JUNGLE, which he now loves to spin more than anything else. Spending countless hours digging for new music and traveling back in time discovering older gems, MATCHAY approaches DJing as a form of storytelling, using careful track selections and rhythms to shape each mix into a cohesive journey.
