On WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10th, STUNNA presents another very special installment of 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE radio. In this week's broadcast, we're treated to a guest mix from established producer and DJ TWINTONE, as he makes his debut appearance on the program.

TWINTONE (aka VOLKER THIEL) is a FRANKFURT, GERMANY-based DRUM+BASS music artist. In his formative days as a youth, he was exposed to the electronic sounds of KRAFTWERK, YELLOW MAGIC ORCHESTRA, RIYUCHI SAKAMTO, BRIAN ENO, as well as the intriguing sound of guitar bands. Although his musical influences stretch from CLASSICAL, LATIN JAZZ, SOUL, AMBIENT, to early HIP HOP, it's the vibe and atmosphere rather than the genre itself, that counts to the most to him in the end. His love of playing BOSSA on nylon string guitars has led him to visit BRAZIL countless times over the years. TWINTONE's fascination and love of various genres of music eventually led him into the fast-paced world of DRUM+BASS.

The new millennium saw the release of his debut single 'THE AMBUSH' b/w 'FEARLESS CALYPSO' on the revered FRANKFURT-based POSITION CHROME imprint manned by the legendary artist PANACEA. Due to the positive critical reaction of the single, the label commissioned an album from TWINTONE. The year 2000 saw the release of the "PARALLEL UNIVERSE" LP and CD. The success of the album project led to worldwide media coverage and success, including POSITION CHROME being awarded 'BEST FOREIGN DRUM AND BASS LABEL' by world renown KNOWLEDGE MAGAZINE. A sophomore album followed in 2001, in form of "THE WORLD DOMINATION ENTERPRISES." Championed by many, including the great BBC RADIO 1 host JOHN PEEL, the album furthered TWINTONE's global appearance as one of DRUM+BASS music's talents on the rise.

In the following two decades, TWINTONE has successfully released his signature sound on a wide range of cutting edge D+B labels including: BAY 6, BEAT SPECTRUM, BLU SAPHIR, COMPLEX, DNBBrazil, OFFWORLD, SHEER VELOCITY, SMOOTH N GROOVE, SOUL BROS, SOUL DEEP, and YUMI. JUNE 1, 2020 saw the release of TWINTONE's new "FRAGMENTS OF LOVE" EP on the ROTATION DEEP UK imprint. 'THE GREENROOM' Guest Mix from PROSPECT - May 27, 2020

On WEDNESDAY, MAY 27th, STUNNA closes out another month of programs in 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE radio. In this week's installment, we're treated to a special guest mix from DJ and producer on the rise PROSPECT, as he makes his debut appearance on the show.

Initially drawn to the enthralling sounds of JUNGLE music on LONDON's PIRATE RADIO stations in the early 1990s, PROSPECT obtained a pair of TECHNICS 1210s and began his journey as a DJ in the mid '90s. Intrigued by the futuristic soundscapes of DRUM+BASS music by the likes of DJ TRACE, ED RUSH, and NICO's NO U TURN record label, PROSPECT began honing his mixing style to incorporate the deeper and darker edges of the music's sonic spectrum. Soon after teaming up with MC FLEXA, the duo sharpened their skills and eventually landed a permanent weekend slot on the legendary ORIGIN FM/UK station. Quickly garnering a positive following from their regular sets on the airwaves, the pair toured and played sets throughout the UK and EUROPE. FLEXA would eventually change his moniker to VoicemC and the duo began to throw their hats into the production ring in the mid 2000s. With initial releases on the DEAFMUTED and GRADIENT AUDIO imprints, the pair immersed themselves further into various projects within the the D+Bscene. Earlier this year, PROSPECT lent his production skills to the inaugural release on VoicemC's shiny new VOICE OF VENAUKLA imprint. The 'GRAVITY' EP features VoicemC's lyrical talents alongside seasoned producers PHILTH, MELOKI, KALM, and of course PROSPECT, to round off the solid label debut.

BERLIN-born, and currently HAMBURG, GERMANY-based artist DR WOE began his electronic music production career from an early age. He's since expanded his DRUM+BASS engineering skills, culminating in the release of his debut 'THE INSOMNIUS' EP on the eponymous label he co-founded. Since 2004, as a DJ, DR WOE has gained attention and a following for his hard-driving, varied DRUM+BASS sets, taking listeners on a journey through rollers, deeper styles and sharper-edged NEUROFUNK. In his own mix series entitled 'THE ROLLING WOE SHOW,' for over a decade WOE has kept up listeners' heart rates through a diverse and genre-bending joyride each edition. 2018 saw the launch of both event and podcast series 'KEEP DA BASS ROLLIN,' featuring a wide breadth of global DRUM+BASS talent.

As a producer, DR WOE draws years of inspiration from the worlds of HIP HOP, TRIP and AMBIENT music and has produced both as a solo artist (as DR WOE, and also under the 'MOONSHYNA' pseudonym) and as one half of the 'SCARY WOODS' duo. Restless by nature, WOE has also found time to follow his graphic design endeavors as well as promote events with the OUTRIDER crew, and DJ as a resident member of the HAMBURG-based BASS FORWARD THE REVOLUTION crew.

On WEDNESDAY, MAY 13th, STUNNA presents another special installment of 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE radio. In this week's edition, seasoned DJ and producer SKELETONE presents a guest mix created exclusively for this week's broadcast.

POLAND-based artist SKELETONE (aka ROBERT PACHOLSKI) began his adventure in DRUM+BASS music in 2005, when he passionately savored the sound of artist such as PHOTEK, RONI SIZE, 4HERO, OMNI TRIO, EZ ROLLERS, MARCUS INTALEX, CALIBRE, and DILLINJA. Yet, his interest in the wide world of music began much earlier. SKELETONE's musical passions began at an early age and spawned a love for SOUL, FUNK, and JAZZ (especially, POLISH JAZZ). These initial musical exposures led SKELETONE on a hunt for obscure samples to add to his growing production library. Captivated by the DRUM+BASS music world's seemingly endless possibilities in sound design, sample usage, and genre-bending capabilities, SKELETONE began creating his own tracks as well as teaming up to produce with fellow countryman SILENCE GROOVE. The joint force effort resulted in their debut for SOUL DEEP RECORDINGS in form of the 'LOVE YOU LOSE' EP in 2012. Two years later, his first solo EP emerged as the 'LAST DAYS' EP for THINK DEEP RECORDINGS and was met with critical acclaim. Vinyl releases followed as well as further successful offerings for the likes of CELSIUS RECORDINGS, FLIGHT PATTERN RECORDS, INFLUENZA MEDIA, OCCULTI MUSIC, and SOUL TRADER RECORDS. Just recently, his brand new 'PILLOW' EP was released courtesy of his own BANDCAMP page. Be sure to look out for more great music from gifted producer SKELETONE in 2020 and beyond.

KIEV, UKRAINE-based artist I WANNABE (aka ANDREY SIROTKIN)'s fascination with electronic music coincided with the 'golden era' of the 1990s. It was then that ANDREY first heard the 1977 classic space disco album 'MAGIC FLY' by the FRENCH band SPACE. This initial encounter launched ANDREY's journey into the the exciting world of beats and synthesizers. DRUM+BASS act E-Z ROLLERS' record "MEATBALL" became ANDREY's point of no return in his new musical consciousness.

Since 2000, the DRUM+BASS style had become the guiding star of ANDREY's creative explorations. Starting in 2007, tracks under his I WANNABE guise have been released on a number of esteemed labels such as FORMATION, 22:22, DISTURBED, CYMBALISM, RUBIK, INCEPTION:AUDIO, MACHINIST MUSIC, CLEAR CONCEPTIONS, KOS.MOS MUSIC, and OFFWORLD RECORDINGS. He's received positive play and support from global heavyweights LONDON ELEKTRICITY, BAILEY, B.TRAITS, RSD, DODGE + FUSKI, CHRIS INPERSPECTIVE, CUTWORX, ELECTROSOUL SYSTEM, GVOZD, NEED FOR MIRRORS, DJ TRAX, and NOISIA. In his native land of UKRAINE, I WANNABE has gained wide popularity thanks to remixes for artists such as KAZKA, ZAPASKA, PLUTON + SKYER, MAUOQ, ATOMIC SIMAO, and KATYA CHILLY.

In 2018, I WANNABE launched his own DEVIANT DRUMS imprint with the 'DREAMS' EP. On WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8th, STUNNA presents another special edition of 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE radio. In this week's broadcast, we're treated to an exclusive guest mix from talented producer and DJ TIM NICE, as he makes his return to the show.

Educator, DJ, producer and engineer, TIM NICE (aka TIN NICKLESS) was raised on the southwest side of CHICAGO and first experienced dance music while cruising the streets in cars with subs in the trunk and listening to GHETTO HOUSE mix tapes from the likes of DJ FUNK, DJ DEEON, and DJ SLUGO. These early experiences spawned a passion within TIM for all forms of music and led to a deep exploration of both the art of music and the technical aspects of sound.

As a DJ, TIM held a weekly radio show on WNUR 89.3FM at NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY for over 6 years as a member of the 'PARTY TIME SOCIETY' crew. With his collaborators and mentors, SEARCHL1TE and JEEKOOS, they collectively held the show's residency for over 20 years. Currently, TIM frequently collaborates on events around CHICAGO with the DnBiD crew's RENAN and CHRISSY T/CHRISTINA TAMAYO.

TIM is also a youth educator and community advocate. His focus centers upon literacy skills and teaching emotional intelligence through music production to incarcerated and court involved youth at the COOK COUNTY JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER with a nonprofit organization called FREEWRITE ARTS AND LITERACY. TIM also assists at another not-for-profit, CIRCLES AND CIPHERS, which recently built a music studio in CHICAGO's ROGERS PARK neighborhood (a highly diverse region with a large immigrant population). This project is cultivated around restorative justice circles and implements HIP HOP music as a way to better communicate and resolve community issues.

In this week's edition, STUNNA welcomes back the talented and prolific producer and DJ known as MAGE for an exclusive guest mix during the broadcast.

Hailing from the city of CHELYABINSK, RUSSIA, MAGE (aka KIRILL SHEYKIN) began producing DRUM+BASS in 2004 and finished his first collaborative tune with fellow producer DK FOYER in 2005 and the track was subsequently released on FOYER's album in 2007. In the time since then, MAGE has produced countless tracks that have seen worldwide release on vinyl, CD, and digital platforms. He's been published on a long and esteemed list of imprints, including: KILL INC, LIQUID BRILLIANTS, MIND INSIDE, PIRATE STATION, RESPECT, SOUL LIMITED, DIGITAL COLOURS, BASSDRIVE TUNES, DYSFUNKTIONAL AUDIO, OFFWORLD, EXTENT, DUBPLATE RECORDS, PLUSH, RE-ZONE, FOKUZ, CELSIUS, and URBAN CHEMISTRY.

MAGE draws his musical inspiration from the soulful and intelligent sounds of LIQUID FUNK, as well as the playful elements of JUMP UP and the aggressive side of NEUROFUNK to create his own signature sound within the fast-paced world of DRUM+BASS. JANUARY 2020 saw MAGE release the massive 'UNRESTRICTED' LP on the KILL INC imprint. With a bevy of releases lined up for the remainder of the year into 2021 and beyond, MAGE goes deep into the mix for an exclusive blend of his own original creations, alongside cutting-edge tracks doing the rounds. 'THE GREENROOM' Label Feature on TRIBE OF DUB (and other like-minded, dubwise artists) - March 11, 2020

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11th sees STUNNA unveil another very special edition of 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE radio. In this week's session, STUNNA centers his attention on burgeoning new DRUM+BASS/JUNGLE label TRIBE OF DUB and dives headfirst into their action-packed catalogue of music. Devoting the entire 3 Hour program to the exciting new imprint, STUNNA will also feature other like-minded, DUBWISE artists and tracks throughout the mix to emphasize TRIBE OF DUB's newly earned place in the upper echelon of quality D+B labels in the current global arena.

Crossing borders between DUBWISE, LIQUID FUNK and JUNGLE music, GERMAN-based producer and label founder DUB DEFENSE (aka MANUEL BOE) launched the TRIBE OF DUB imprint in 2019 to showcase established and upcoming talent from all around the globe. With their inaugural relase in MAY last year with the 'STRANDED IN THE UNKNOWN' EP, the label has shown its diversity and followed up with stellar EP releases 'CALM BEFORE THE STORM', 'TROPICAL THUNDER', and the soon-to-be-released 'ESCAPING INTO THE JUNGLE' fiver-tracker. A few words of wisdom regarding the label project direct from TRIBE OF DUB.....

"Deep in the rainforest on a planet similar to earth, explorers discovered a tribe hidden from civilisation throughout millennia. Living at one with the nature surrounding them, the tribesmen have managed to overcome the challenges of their hostile environment for generations. They form symbiosis with animals and plants referring to the knowledge and wisdom of their ancestors. Their vast territory offers various sights, from rushing rivers to dense jungle areas and deep underground cave systems. The fertile, yet mystic environment the natives live in has a huge influence on their social and cultural behaviour. The small group of people get together reguarly in an attempt to contact the spirits of their forefathers, ask for guidance, seek wisdom and free their minds from negativity. In a surprising and fascinating ceremony they congregate, some members bringing strange looking objects, and sit around the fire. All of a sudden the dark forest is filled with a beautiful, yet powerful sound! Aforementioned objects turn out to be instruments the tribesmen had built themselves from vines, wood, stones and all kinds of natural materials. The steady, repetitive beat created using their self-made drums has an almost hypnotizing effect. As other sounds emerge, similar to what we would describe as guitar or possibly piano and even bass, other members of the tribe begin to dance and shout. The musical ritual continues until sunrise. Tired from dancing and singing all night, the members of the Tribe of Dub go to rest. The smiles on their faces show that the ceremony defintely was a wicked one. Now, for the first time in history, the sounds of the so called Tribe Of Dub have been recorded, mastered and made accessible to the general public. The purpose of this project is to spread the vibrations around the globe, not for the sake of profit, but to improve the peoples meditations and celebrations!"

'THE GREENROOM' Guest Mix from SUB PROVIDER - January 29, 2020

On WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 29th, STUNNA closes out the month of programs with another special edition of 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE radio. In this week's session, we're treated to an exclusive guest mix from seasoned DRUM+BASS selector and tastemaker SUB PROVIDER.

FRENCH-based artist SUB PROVIDER (aka GAETAN/GUY) began his career in electronic music in 1994 with his initial introduction to the sounds of TECHNO. Based in ANNECY, he was exposed to his first rave parties, and the wide spectrum of music there led him to discover seminal sounds of JUNGLE music as championed by the likes of GROOVERIDER, FABIO, and DJ HYPE. Relocating to the metropolis of PARIS in 1995, he found work at the TV station CANAL+ for their 'LA GRANDE FAMILLE' show, and ultimately helped to incorporate the burgeoning sounds of DRUM+BASS into their programming. Returning back to ANNECY in 1996, he learned to program on the CUBASE sequencer and joined forces with another producer to form a live TECHNO act named SUBJUNCTION. With an irresistible drive to create and perform music, he also founded the DRUM+BASS act JUNCTION 14 and signed the 'PARADOXAL PHAZE' EP to INTERZONE RECORDS in 1998. Continuing to write and perform during the remainder of the 1990s, GAETAN dabbled in a number of various live music and DJ projects. After a brief hiatus from the music scene, 2008 saw him reemerge under the 'NEON DEPT' guise, and upon his return to PARIS in 2012, he quickly fell in love with the enthralling sounds of LIQUID FUNK and began performing under the 'SUB PROVIDER' name in 2012.

With a flurry of online radio residencies and guest mixes under his belt, SUB PROVIDER currently curates the "FRENCH CONNECTION" mix series for the DIFFERNT DRUMZ site. Dedicated to showcase music from the large stable of talented producers from his homeland of FRANCE, SUB PROVIDER and his like-minded crew of DJs and producers continue to spread the gospel of quality DRUM+BASS to listeners worldwide.
