On WEDNESDAY, MAY 30, 2012, STUNNA presents a very special edition of 'THE GREENROOM,' welcoming into the studio two major players in the forefront of the AMERICAN DRUM+BASS movement.

SAN DIEGO-based producer, DJ and main man behind the RUBIK RECORDS imprint: CALCULON makes his triumphant return to the BASSDRIVE airwaves. In addition to maintaining RUBIK's busy release schedule (including the global launch of HEAVY1's 'MINIMALIZED' album), CALCULON's own recent productions have been garnering attention, praise and signings from labels such as GOOD LOOKING, PHUZION, HUMAN ELEMENTS, FOKUZ, LEVITATED, THINK DEEP, and BIG RIDDIM. It's been a few years since he's made a visit to 'THE GREENROOM' so I'm happy to have him back as he makes a CHICAGO stop during his current Midwest tour.

Also joining me in the studio is CHICAGO-based producer, DJ and head of the burgeoning ADAPTER AUDIO label: RADIATA. Having recently bestowed 'THE GREENROOM' with an exclusive mix of strictly his own productions, RADIATA has remained busy behind the scenes both creating a new batch of music as well as culling and curating tracks for his ADAPTER AUDIO imprint (with its most current release having just dropped online courtesy of BRAZILIAN duo JAM THIEVES in form of 'CONCRETE JUNGLE' feat. SPRING 2012 sees the release of the debut album from TOKYO-based producer HEAVY1. Entitled ''MINIMALIZED' and released on the esteemed RUBIK RECORDS imprint, this offering features an array of solo tracks, collaborations and tempos weaved together tightly by HEAVY1's stellar production techniques. Two vinyl samplers for the album have recently hit shops: Part 1 features HEAVY1 teamed up with DUTCH producers JUNE MILLER for "JUDGE" b/w "LIGHT UPON MY ROAD" (a solo HEAVY1 track featuring the vocal talents of IRIANN JOYCE); the second vinyl sampler sees HEAVY1 drop two hard-hitting solo excursions in form of "ONGAKU" b/w "FEAR THE SATELLITE." After a successful run of FEBRUARY shows that took STUNNA all the way to the UNITED KINGDOM and down the coast of CALIFORNIA, he's back for another string of live dates in MARCH 2012. Kicking off proceedings at local CHICAGO crew M.I.A.'s 6TH ANNIVERSARY celebration for a party entitled 'DEEP IN THE JUNGLE 3,' STUNNA plays alongside UK legend REMARC on SATURDAY, MARCH 3rd at a TBA (day of show) location in the WINDY CITY. CHICAGO monthly gathering 'REFORM' goes down on MARCH 15th at mainstay watering hole LIARS CLUB for an evening of Drum+Bass featuring many local favorites. On the 17th, STUNNA makes his DALLAS, TX debut for a special St. Patrick's Day party at ELM STREET BAR for 'THE LUCK OF THE LIQUID.' Rounding out the monthly in fine fashion on MARCH 21st, HOSPITAL RECORDS' long-running 'HOSPITALITY' global event series lands in CHICAGO for an evening featuring label stalwarts HIGH CONTRAST and NETSKY, with local support from STUNNA, DANNY THE WILDCHILD, SUBNOXIOUS and is hosted by veteran DYNAMITE MC. MulchFactory's 'JUICE!' Night returns to Oregon

After a very successful string of memorable shows at its previous home THE GROVE in beautiful BEND, OREGON, one of Stateside's finest nights: 'JUICE!' (brought to you by MulchFactory Presents...) has returned from a few years' hiatus and found its new residency at THE WHISKEY BAR in downtown PORTLAND. During its initial run in BEND, the monthly 'JUICE!' event brought in many of DRUM+BASS' finest producer/DJs including ASC, BACHELORS OF SCIENCE, KUBIKS + LOMAX, WILL MILES, METHOD ONE, and BIG BUD alongside a stellar selection of homegrown local talent to support each unique event. STUNNA Remixes PARHELIA's "LUMINOSITY" for ABSYS RECORDS

The latest offering fresh from the GREENROOM studio is STUNNA's re-imagining of Russian producer PARHELIA's "LUMINOSITY." Included as part of a five-track set entitled 'THE DRAGON EP' courtesy of ABSYS RECORDS Digital [Absys Digital 004], the release also includes title cut "DRAGON SONG," "SHE IS MADE OF FLOWERS," "SHE IS MADE OF FLOWERS" (SND Remix), and the bonus FREE inclusion of the original version of "LUMINOSITY" to round out the digital package. As we say goodbye to another season of summer here in the States, it's time again to roll out an exclusive series of events in DRUM+BASS clubland.......


Kicking off on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, it's an All-Building event going down in CHICAGO at the world famous METRO and SMARTBAR joint venues. Featuring the legendary DJ and producer LTJ BUKEM (GOOD LOOKING RECORDS/UK), the upstairs METRO venue also welcomes PLACE 42 (TELLURIC RECORDINGS/NYC), local selectors STUNNA and RIVERMAN for an exclusive 18+ event. Downstairs in SMARTBAR, you can catch the best of CHICAGO's own M.I.A. crew including DANNY THE WILDCHILD, ALFONZ DE LA MOTA, KODE X, J CROSS and DIOPTRICS on a world-class FUNCTION ONE soundsystem for a strictly 21+ engagement.






The following evening, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, THE GOOD LOOKING ORGANIZATION - UK and TELLURIC RECORDINGS - NYC join forces with NEW YORK's BROOKLYN BOWL for the second consecutive year to bring you a truly special and unique evening of DRUM+BASS. Closing out the run on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, you can catch STUNNA in CHICAGO alongside a packed lineup of electronic DJs at the strictly underground event 'NO TRIX.' RADIATA Exclusive All-Originals Mix for The Greenroom: August 31, 2011

For my final show of August 2011, I'm pleased and excited to air an exclusive guest mix from one of CHICAGO's stalwart figures in the Drum+Bass scene: RADIATA. Since entering the DJ arena back in 1995, this multi-faceted artist has lent his hand as a tireless promoter, booking agent and burgeoning producer. With support of his music from some global top players (most recently, his deadly track "THE SWAMP" can be heard on GRIDLOK's newest mix 'CARMAGEDDON'), for this session, RADIATA drops a unique set of ALL-ORIGINAL productions. Many of the tracks are world debuts on-air, and he'll give a taste of what the future holds for his own ADAPTER AUDIO imprint.
