On WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4th, STUNNA kicks off a new, action-packed month of broadcasts in 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE Radio. In this week's session, STUNNA welcomes back (after a nearly five year hiatus) gifted producer and DJ SILENCE GROOVE, as he presents a brand new guest mix during the program.

Born and bred in the Central European country of POLAND (and now based in BRATISLAVA, SLOVAKIA), SILENCE GROOVE's love of electronic music began at an early age when his father introduced him to the intriguing sounds of KRAFTWERK, VANGELIS, and TANGERINE DREAM. In 2010, at the age of 18, he signed his first PROGRESSIVE TRANCE EP titled 'SHINY SNOW' to UNEARTHED RECORDINGS. His initial work in the TRANCE music scene garnered rave reviews, international exposure and recognition from scene luminaries PAUL VAN DYKE, ANDY MOOR, MATT DAREY, and ARMIN VAN BUUREN.

In 2011, he was inspired by the innovative sounds of producers FUTURE ENGINEERS, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE and ELECTROSOUL SYSTEM to take his first steps into throwing his proverbial hat into the DRUM+BASS production ring. Collaborating with fellow countryman SKELETONE, the pair released their debut 'LOVE YOU LOSE' EP on the revered SOUL DEEP RECORDINGS imprint and followed up with successful offerings for the BASSDRIVE TUNES and OFFWORLD RECORDINGS music labels.

Since then, SILENCE GROOVE has continued to feature on a selection DRUM+BASS music's most prestigious labels, including HOSPITAL, INTEGRAL RECORDS, and DOC SCOTT's 31 RECORDINGS imprint. His productions reflect the influences of various electronica genres, ranging from DOWNTEMPO, AMBIENT, to TECHNO. His unique style takes inspiration from artists in the scene such as CALIBRE, COMMIX, SEBA, LOGISTICS, and TECHNICOLOUR, among others. Sustained atmospheres, wistful arrangements, minor-chord-based hypnotic hooks and intricate breakbeat work are the staples of his sound. Carefully selected organic samples and imaginative synth work are fused together to create rich soundscapes that function well both in a club and home listening setting. His latest batch of music demonstrates an accomplished understanding of the genre through its stripped back subtleties and understated intricacies.

'THE GREENROOM' Guest Mix from JAMIE MYERSON - October 21, 2020

On WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21st, STUNNA unveils another very special edition of 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE Radio. In this week's session, STUNNA welcomes electronic music journeyman JAMIE MYERSON for his worlwide debut DRUM+BASS guest mix, exclusive to this broadcast.

JAMIE MYERSON's connection to DRUM+BASS music dates back to 1993 when he met DEGO of legendary REINFORCED RECORDS, and one half of the duo 4 HERO. JAMIE's first release on the label was "FIND YOURSELF," included on the prestigious 'ENFORCERS' compilation series (volumes 6 & 7). He followed his successful inaugural outing on the imprint with three more EPs under the JLM PRODUTCTIONS moniker.

Between 1995 and 1996, JAMIE released tracks, such as “MUSIC FOR THE LONELY” on SM:)LE COMMUNICATIONS, “DECISIONS DECSIONS” on CRAMMED DISC, and “REVISIONS," featured on PAUL OAKENFOLD’s 'FLOURO' compilation. In 1997, JAMIE signed with JOSH WINK and KING BRITT’s OVUM RECORDINGS label, releasing “RESCUE ME” and “THE LISTEN PROJECT." The following years would see JAMIE remixing and producing for other artists, placing music in commercials and TV shows, as well as operating a recording studio business.

Recently, JAMIE is finding new inspiration in classic DRUM+BASS sounds, releasing new music exclusively on his BANDCAMP page.

'THE GREENROOM' Guest Mix from COLOSSUS - October 14, 2020

On WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14th, STUNNA unveils another special edition of 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE. In this week's installment, talented producer/DJ COLOSSUS makes his debut appearance on the show with an exclusive guest mix during the broadcast.

From a very early age, a passion for music and creativity began to shine through for UK-based artist COLOSSUS (aka TOBY TINWELL). With his musical interests leaning towards the electronic world, he began focusing his practice towards DRUM+BASS music. Shortly after leaving college, he had his first release with E-MOTION RECORDS. With the help of SENSA (one half of HYBRID MINDS), the release's title track, "UNDER THE WEATHER," was promoted by D+B giants LIQUICITY. This was the boost that COLOSSUS needed as he began to release music with labels such as SOUL DEEP EXCLUSIVES, DNBB RECORDINGS, and CELSIUS RECORDINGS.

He launched his own digital record label, RUSH RECORDS, with some local musicians, and ran the imprint for four years. During this time, he also became a resident DJ at JUNGLE JAM and OVERFLOW, where he supported artists such as BAD COMPANY UK, MICKY FINN, ANDY C, RONI SIZE, FABIO, GROOVERIDER, TECHNIMATIC, SERIAL KILLAZ, BLU MAR TEN, LENZMAN, COMMIX, HYBRID MINDS, and many more. In 2014, COLOSSUS performed at his first international shows in ANTWERP, BELGIUM, playing at the GUN AUDIO and BASS CIRCUS events alongside artists CYANTIFIC, BCEE, and LSB. The year 2015 saw D+B staple imprint HOSPITAL RECORDS release music from COLOSSUS on their “HOSPITALITY 2015” compilation and, a year later, he was also featured on the label's “WE ARE 21” various artist album.

During a brief hiatus away from producing DRUM+BASS, COLOSSUS spent time honing his craft and studying towards new horizons and possibilities in his musical career. He concentrated his studies on a masters degree in the art of integrating music with the moving image. The time away helped him to redefine and enhance his knowledge as a producer, and now, in 2020, COLOSSUS is back and hungrier than ever. With releases featured on LIQUICITY RECORDS' sister label GALACY RECORDS, autism charity label LIQUID DRUM+BASS 4 AUTISM, as well as returing back to BAY 6 RECORDINGS and SOUL DEEP RECORDINGS, COLOSSUS is set to drop his debut "THIRD FACE" album on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16th via his own BANDCAMP page. A document highlighting COLOSSUS' prowess in the studio domain, the "THIRD FACE" LP is a well-balanced aural journey showcasing this talented producer's strengths throughout the album's many moods and textures.

LONDON, ENGLAND-based music producer, DJ, and photographer MYSTIC TRIP was raised on a healthy dose of music, playing various instruments during his formative years. But one Sunday afternoon in the '90s, he was flicking through the FM radio dial and found a local pirate radio called KOOL FM. The show was called 'SUPER SUNDAY' and was the first time he heard DRUM+BASS music. He hit record on the tape deck and that was it...he was hooked.

Fast forward a few years, and MYSTIC TRIP's enamoration with the sounds of D+B led him into the studio to produce his own unique take on the fast-paced electronic music genre. SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA-based artist JAMAL began honing his skills behind the decks in the late 90's and quickly became a crowd favorite in the burgeoning SF DRUM+BASS music scene. Then, at only 19 years old, JAMAL found himself in the ranks with the D+B pioneers and future innovators. This lead to him having multiple, simultaneous residencies, exposing him to the most cutting edge artists and sounds, and helped to shape and define his taste-making abilities.

As his DJ career progressed, JAMAL also threw his hat into the production ring. Fine-tuning his beatmaking craft, he began churning out a number of high quality releases on a slew of revered global imprints. Solo offerings and collaborations with the likes of GRIDLOK, BACHELORS OF SCIENCE, QUADRANT, ADRED, BEN SOUNDSCAPE, and Jo-S have seen daylight over the years on labels such as METALHEADZ, CODE RECORDINGS, DISPATCH, COMMERCIAL SUICIDE, HOSPITAL RECORDS, PROJECT 51, SOUL DEEP, ONSET AUDIO, THE DNB GUILD, SUBLIFE RECORDINGS and FORMATION RECORDS.

Multi-tasking between producing tracks and a demanding DJ schedule, JAMAL has also found time to establish the highly regarded 'STAMINA SUNDAYS' weekly event at the F8 nightclub in the heart of SAN FRANCISCO. A veteran DJ and producer, BUFFALO, NEW YORK-based artist MARK KLOUD (aka MARK VALKWITCH) is notably known for his abstract and experimental approach in uptempo electronic music. With over 20 years experience as a DJ and over 10 years as a producer, he has carved his name into the underground world of DRUM + BASS/JUNGLE music. MARK's dark atmospheres, intricate sound design, coupled with precision drum programming and murky bass, have made him a unique contributor to the 160-170 BPM community. Heavily influenced by FOOTWOEK/JUKE, MARK gained notoriety in that genre, fusing that sound with 90's JUNGLE. This led MARK to start his own imprint GROUND MASS MUSIC. Most recently, MARK has developed a particular sound revolving around minimal, deep and ethereal, pulling inspiration from DUB and TECHNO. Over the years, with releases on labels such as LOSSLESS MUSIC, TRANSLATOIN RECORDINGS, NORD LABEL, ONSET AUDIO, SUBLIMATE, and TERRA NULL RECORDINGS, he has gained support from the likes of J:KENZO, OM UNIT, SCOTT, DEFT, SOUL INTENT, and SILENT DUST.

2020 is a significant year for MARK, as AUGUST 21st sees the release of his 'MOONQUAKE' LP on LONDON-based LOSSLESS MUSIC's sub label EXKURSIONS, and also look out for a new EP on U.S.-based TRANSLATION RECORDINGS.

On WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 12th, STUNNA presents another special inetallment of 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE Radio. In this week's session, we shed a bit more light on one of DRUM+BASS music's finest labels: SOUL DEEP RECORDINGS. With a staggering amount of high quality releases on the imprint from a stable of talented producers around the world, 2020 has thus far been another busy year for SOUL DEEP. During this week's show, revered SDR producer and DJ BLADE joins the label head and mastermind SCOTT ALLEN for exclusive guest mixes created espeically for this broadcast.

On WEDNESDAY, JULY 15, STUNNA presents a special installment of 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE Radio. In this week's broadcast, we're treated to an exclusive guest mix from established DJ and producer Nic ZigZag, as he makes his debut appearance on the program.

RUSSIAN-based artist Nic ZigZag began his career in DRUM+BASS music as one half of the GRINDA + ZigZag duo. With the initial success of their popular "ALIEN" track for the PIRATE STATION brand compilation in 2007, the pair followed up with a number of releases, including two full length albums, 'KAISER's STUFF' (2008) and 'SHARE DREAMS' (2009), on the RESPECT RECORDS imprint. In 2010, ZigZag decided to pursue a solo career in music under the nickname "Nic ZigZag." The past decade has seen Nic continue to flourish. With solid releases on various labels, many appearances at live events globally, and also plans in the works to record a solo album, Nic ZigZag's unique blend of soul, funk and infectious, groove-laden DRUM+BASS music continues to turn heads with positive support from DJs around the world.
