UK-based DRUM + BASS artist BLUEFOOTJAI (aka JAMIE MCLELLAN) has cultivated and grown a serious collection of D+B since starting his journey in music during the early 1990s. Initially playing on LONDON pirate radio stations, he quickly honed in on the LTJ BUKEM sound, which developed into what is now affectionately known as LIQUID FUNK. With his transition from playing vinyl to digital on TRAKTOR, and the ability to carry an entire record collection on a USB (bringing a whole different level of creativity), BLUEFOOTJAI started reconnecting with friends in the industry as a producer in 2018.

Fast forward to present day, and BLUEFOOTJAI's prolific career as a DRUM + BASS producer has truly blossomed. With a staggering catalogue of finely-crafted releases for labels the likes of C RECORDINGS, CODENAME:RCRDS, DEFAULT RECORDINGS, ERCULEAN RECORDINGS, FX909 MUSIC, LIQUID BRILLIANTS, LIQUID DROPS, LIQUID FLAVOURS, MATHEMATICA RECORDS, OMNI MUSIC, and SOULFEELING RECORDS, BLUEFOOTJAI has also found time to release a health grip of tracks on his very own BFJ MUSIC imprint. LONDON, ENGLAND-based DRUM + BASS artist OPIUS (aka VINNIE SMITH) began learning music production in the mid '90s with a friend who had a home studio. In 2001, OPIUS set up his own studio, after acquiring hardware gear including an EMU sampler, KORG TRITON keyboard, TANNOY monitors, a SPIRIT mixing desk, various rack mount units, and a PC built especially for music production. By 2004, OPIUS' own label BALLPARK RECORDINGS, which has seen a number of quality releases supported by some of the top names in the global D+B scene. Over the years, OPIUS has produced and released a dizzying amount of DRUMFUNK/JUNGLE music for the likes of 36 HERTZ, AGN7 AUDIO, DANGER CHAMBER, FLEX, FORMATION, LOCKED UP MUSIC, OMNI MUSIC, PINECONE MOONSHINE, SILENT FORCE, SUBTLE AUDIO, TIME TUNNEL, WICKED JUNGLE, and of course, for his own BALLPARK RECORDINGS., which just released his brand new 'RESPECT AMEN' EP.

'THE GREENROOM' Guest Mix from SIMON V - AUGUST 6, 2025

On WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 6th, STUNNA launches a brand new month of broadcasts in 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE Radio. During this week's session, STUNNA welcomes stalwart DRUM+BASS producer/DJ SIMON V to the program for an exclusive, debut guest mix.

SIMON "VIVID" JAROSCH was born in STUTTGART, located in the western part of GERMANY. In his youth, he enjoyed the virtual escape of painting pixels and composing chipsounds in the ATARI ST demoscene. With the advent of the internet, he released tracker-music through pioneering netlabels like KOSMIC FREE MUSIC FOUNDATION and RADICAL RHYTHMS. When AltaVista was the premier search engine, he created his first home page.

'ONE NIGHT,', his 1998 debut CD album, was released at age eighteen and earned him the title of 'wunderkind' by GERMANY's music magazine GROOVE. The track "PULSE CODE" was discovered in the UK by JOHN PEEL for BBC RADIO - teenage dreams so hard to beat. This nod gained him the top spot in the DRUM+BASS charts on the first internet streaming site www.mp3.com. It was also voted #1 electronic track on the site by URB Magazine, AMERCIA's leading dance music publication at the time.

Also in 1998, SIMON co-founded the GERMANY D+B label SANTORIN, with his colleague DJ LIGHTWOOD in TüBINGEN, where he released his first vinyl record. The time was right in 2005 when his well-received LP 'BECAUSE WE CAN' landed - as a producer, he was already tagged a "veteran of the GERMAN DRUM+BASS scene" by DE:BUG Magazine.

Lending his skills in the studio to the production of GERMAN SOUL singer FRANZISKA for the 3P label, he took a deep dive into the world of songwriting. This spark ignited the journey of discovering his own voice. His first singing appearance on "CLOUDSPOTTER" secured him a place on JOHN B's 'TO RUSSIA WITH LOVE' CD.

His vocal debut album, 'SEXY GERMAN ACCENT' takes you through neon discotheques and the weird, wild world of dating, delivering his memorable melodies with GERMAN precision. From pulsating grooves to introspective moods, it's a journey that's rewarding, witty and heartfelt. You never thought you'd fall for that sexy GERMAN accent.

Early 2024 saw the launch of SIMON's VIVID COLOR RECORDINGS, an imprint that has been home to releases from the man himself, as well as like-minded producers SMOTE and DEPHZAC.

'THE GREENROOM' 1000th Episode with Guest Mix from KRUGAH - JULY 16, 2025

On WEDNESDAY, JULY 16th, STUNNA hosts the landmark 1000th Episode of 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE radio. After playing more than 3000 hours of upfront and classic JUNGLE and DRUM+BASS cuts from producers around the globe, STUNNA keeps the summer heating up this week with an Exclusive Guest Mix from prolific producer/DJ KRUGAH.

Hailing from the streets of BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN, NEW YORK, and making beats since 1998, KRUGAH (aka FRED WILLIAMS) officially put forth his self-release debut EP 'OUT THE GATE VOLUME 1' in 2018 on his own SOUL AND PAIN MUSIK PRODUCTIONS imprint, which ulimately caught the attention of legendary artist L DOUBLE. However, things really picked up when he starting sending his tunes to longtime friend SEEKWHENCE who already had a show on the established JUNGLETRAIN online radio station called "THE CONTINUUM." From there, KRUGAH's tunes starting being passed around to GREENLEAF who played them on his own JUNGLETRAIN show. Next, TORONTO's RUMBLETON also took notice, and upon hearing KRUGAH's intricate, drum edit-laden masterpieces, alerted fellow TORONTONIAN, FRANKIE GUNNS. As a result of these tunes, FRANKIE launches his GUNNS ROAD MUSIC label, and subsequently tells DJ CLEAR who also signs KRUGAH to SWEET SENSI RECORDS. The momentum just kept going, and in 2023 KRUGAH landed on the seminal AKO BEATZ imprint with his "NUFF NICENESS" track on the 'AKOISM VOLUME 5' EP.

With further highly-lauded offerings for INNER CITY DANCE, STEREO ONE MUSIC, PINECONE MOONSHINE, CODENAME:RCRDS, BALLPARK RECORDINGS, and his SOUL AND PAIN label, KRUGAH continues to move strength to strength in 2025. A healthy balance of new studio productions, stateside and international DJ bookings, and regular live broadcasts on JUNGLETRAIN and TWITCH help to provide platforms for this talented producer to showcase his own creations alongside many of his peers' latest works.

EKTO1 (aka MIFF ZAWADZKI) is a multifaceted musician and producer hailing from the UK, whose sonic journey has been deeply rooted in the rapidly evolving world of DRUM+BASS. With a career spanning decades, he has consistently pushed boundaries, exploring diverse styles while maintaining an unwavering dedication to the intricate rhythms and profound depths of D+B as an art form. From his early days honing his craft in bands and production outfits, EKTO1 quickly carved out a distinctive sound, leading to releases on various esteemed labels. His transition to a solo artist marked a pivotal moment, catching the discerning ear of legendary DJ NOOKIE, who championed EKTO1's unique productions and remixes. This significant collaboration was followed by two impactful EP releases on the iconic FULL CYCLE RECORDS, solidifying his presence within the DRUM+BASS scene.

Beyond his prolific output as a recording artist, EKTO1 has demonstrated his versatility as a MUSICAL DIRECTOR. He lent his expertise to MIAMI-based singer Kēvens, shaping live performances with a keen artistic vision. More recently, EKTO1 spearheaded the creation and performance of the acclaimed MC CONRAD LIVE PROJECT (MCLP). In a testament to his enduring respect for the late icon, this powerful live act has since evolved into THE MC CONRAD LEGACY PROJECT, ensuring CONRAD's spirit continues to resonate on stage.

EKTO1 remains an active and innovative force in the music scene. His recent "ZILLA" EP on MYRIAD RECORDINGS (which lands worldwide on FRIDAY, JUNE 27th) has been turning heads and igniting sound systems, showcasing his continued ability to craft compelling and impactful electronic music. With well over 20 years experience playing house parties, raves, bars and nightclubs, SOUND ARKITKEK (aka STEVE ADLER) has an encyclopedic knowledge of music but has always been a participant in JUNGLE culture. In the early 2000s, he was exposed to the genre primarily through DIESELBOY and DANNY THE WILDCHILD mixes, as well as "THE JUNGLE BOOK" series of mixtapes. He became obsessed after hearing BAD COMPANY’s "THE NINE" and "4 DAYS," as well as PENDULUM’s "VAULT."

As time went on, he got deeper into the scene, going to raves while buying records and posting on DRUM&BASS ARENA and DNBForum before turning 21, at which point he began going to LAVA LOUNGE for BassByThePound’s "SEMINAR" series. The first legal DRUM+BASS party he attended was CHASE + STATUS at the aforementioned LAVA LOUNGE, and he will never forget the energy when the duo played DJ HAZARD’s "KILLERS DON'T DIE" and it got a rewind. His love for the scene led to him playing D+B parties, opening for artists the likes of ORIGINAL SIN, GRIDLOK and LTJ BUKEM, among others.

Beginning his journey as a DJ in 1997, UK-based DJ, producer, promoter, label owner AARON JAY quickly earned his stripes as a resident at FABIO's legendary LONDON club night 'SWERVE' in 2002. Performing monthly to dub-hungry punters who liked their rhythms both soulful and funky, AARON's arsenal of unsigned tracks soon led him to create his very own label. Founded in 2008, the INFLUENCE RECORDS imprint has pushed the deeper side of DRUM+BASS with a stellar stable of producers including: ATOM, BAL, BROTHER, DATA, DAVE OWEN, DELTA + FORMAT, EASY + GEEKS, EVESON, FLACO, FURNEY, ICR, KJELL, MIXMASTER DOC, MR JOSEPH, RANDOM MOVEMENT, RAW Q, SINISTARR, SOUL INTENT, and SPECIFIC.

The year 2015 saw the addition of fellow UK countryman J:SKEPTIK to the INFLUENCE RECORDS family as label manager. Beginning his musical path in the DRUM+BASS genre by listening to old tape packs including DREAMSCAPE, HELTER SKELTER, ROAST, and TELEPATHY, then 17-year-old J:SKEPTIK acquired his first set of vinyl decks in 1999 and hasn't looked back since. Having played many cities throughout the UK for brands including HOSPITALITY, ON A MISSION, PARADOX, RIDDM, SOCIAL:BEATZ, and SOUNDCLASH (to name a few), in 2016, J:SKEPTIK snagged his first international booking in AMSTERDAM at the popular CHEEKY MONDAY weekly. Playing a broad stroke across the full spectrum of DRUM+BASS music, J:SKEPTIK has always had a passion for the more LIQUID, deeper vibes that this music brings.

Fast forward to 2025, and the INFLUENCE RECORDS label continues to remain one of the genre's top brands for carefully-curated, quality music from an ever-growing roster of talented artists. BIORHYTHM is the musical project of UK-based sound designer JUSTIN DOLBY. His credits include HBO dramas 'BIG LITTLE LIES' and 'TRUE DETECTIVE,' the BAFTA-winning documentary series '1971: THE YEAR THAT MUSIC CHANGED EVERYTHING' and NETFLIX fantasy series 'FATE: THE WINX SAGA.'

A devoted fan of DRUM+BASS since the late '90s, BIORHYTHM achieved his ambition of releasing original music in 2023 with 'HOLD ME TIGHT,' a four-track EP signed to AKURATYDE's highly-lauded MODERN CONVENIENCES imprint. Incorporating elements of SHOEGAZE, AMBIENT and LO-FI, the EP garnered praise for its innovative take on the AUTONOMIC sound.

In 2024, he released two further EPs: 'THE COLLISION' EP on JASKIN + UNEVEN's SQUARES MUSIC introduced a darker, more futuristic sound, while 'NEW LIFE' on MOD CON developed the emotive, AUTONOMIC-inspired sound first heard on 'HOLD ME TIGHT.'

BIORHYTHM's debut album 'LIFE TIME' lands FRIDAY, MAY 2nd on MODERN COVENIENCES and features twelve finely-crafted tracks that expertly showcase his production skills in the studio domain.

BIRMINGHAM, UK-based DRUM+BASS artist TEKNICAL (aka CORY O'HAGAN) initially launched his career in music at the age of 13, DJing with his father, TONY SHAPE, and began producing music at age 16. The early 2000s saw GRYM (aka SETH BROMAN) as one the premier DRUM+BASS DJs in the SEATTLE, WASHINGTON circuit. In 2004, ONSET was born, establishing a staple in the SEATTLE underground. Running strong for more than two decades, ONSET became an internationally renowned night and a required stop for international D+B talent. It was also the home base from which GRYM showcased his darkside sound. Rinsing everything from dancefloor to JUNGLE, to experimental, GRYM became one of the city's most sought after figures in the bass community.

Forging strong alliances and playing host to some of the most talented producers in the world, a label was formed as an outlet to the influx of unreleased music at his disposal. With over 300 releases to date, the ONSET AUDIO imprint has since become home to some of the most forward-thinking artists of the genre. Coinciding the success and longetivity of his label, GRYM's name has become synonymous with SEATTLE DRUM+BASS, representing the ONSET, RHYTHM SECTION, and DEEP N BASS crews as well as the esteemed RECON crew out of DENVER.

On WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26th, STUNNA closes out another action-packed month of broadcasts in 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE Radio. During this week's edition, STUNNA presents an exclusive interview and guest mix from legendary DRUM+BASS producers FUTURE ENGINEERS.

With seminal releases over the years on revered imprints the likes of RENEGADE RECORDINGS, ASCENDANT GROOVES, PARTISAN, TEMPLE MUSIC, GOOD LOOKING RECORDS, LOOKING GOOD RECORDS, NEXUS RECORDS, 720 DEGREES, NU-DIRECTIONS, COVERT OPERATIONS, VIBEZ, CAMINO BLUE, KOS.MOS.MUSIC, VIOLET NIGHTS, OKBRON, and PLASMA AUDIO, production duo FUTURE ENGINEERS (aka LEE BATCHELOR + KEIR CLEMINSON) have championed the sound of ATMOSPHERIC D+B since the mid 1990s. Although KEIR took a step back from production in the mid 2000s, LEE continued to push the FUTURE ENGINEERS brand forward with the launch of the TRANSFERENCE RECORDINGS label.

Originally set up in 2008 as an outlet for FUTURE ENGINEERS' music, TRANSFERENCE has also released original tracks and remixes from other like-minded artists such as ELECTROSOUL SYSTEM, CUTWORKS aka CUTWORX, RADICALL, OPERON, MARSO + GALA, SUNCHASE, DAUNTLESS, RE:FRAME and AUDIO SYNDICATE. After nearly a two decade hiatus, 2022 saw the return of KEIR to the studio domain. Both he and LEE picked up right where they left off: the reunited FUTURE ENGINEERS unleashed the highly-anticipated two-tracker "CIRCADIAN"/"IMMERSIVE" and their follow-up offering "LARNI"/"DISCONNECT" on TRANSFERENCE. With more original music from the duo set to be released on their label this year, FUTURE ENGINEERS has plans to unveil 'ALPHA SEQUENCE': a new series on the label for up-and-coming producers as well as established artists who fit the sound of TRANSFERENCE.

In addition to writing new music and overseeing operations with the label, LEE has also created an online course for both aspiring and established electronic music producers alike. The 'PRODUCTION SESSIONS' is an ongoing, membership-based program managed through PATREON, with a start-to-finish course offering a structured, step-by-step approach to learning and developing music production skills gradually through the process of writing one's own track (in one's own DAW) from beginning to completion. The monthly, two-hour ZOOM video sessions carefully focus on one topic at a time, ultimately concluding the entire course with each participant completing their own piece of music. The finished track represents both an investment of time and energy, as well as the experience to stay committed to a project, reach new goals, and finish more tracks. Beyond just finishing a track, each member in the course has access to LEE's mentorship experience with networking in the music scene to ultimately sign their music to either TRANSFERENCE or another fitting label.

UK-based DJ ChRiStAL (aka CHRIS AU) is the co-owner of prominent DRUM+BASS label SMOOTH N GROOVE RECORDS, alongside U.S.-based CLEN. The imprint is based out of NORTHAMPTON, UK and WASHINGTON, D.C., respectively.

Initially launching in MAY 2016 with their debut release, in form of JRUMHAND's 'BEACHES + COUNTRYSIDE' EP, SMOOTH N GROOVE RECORDS quickly became a revered imprint, dedicated to bringing atmospheric, funky, soulful, and rolling vibes from the best in the scene to the ears of all listeners worldwide. CHICAGO-based TOYACOYAH is an indigenous DJ that draws inspiration from both ancestral rhythms and modern-day breakbeats, bringing a unique fusion of influences to her DJ sets. This avid record collector began her DJ journey as a selector in the late '90s, hosting a DRUM+BASS radio show at the UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA. Following graduation, she ventured to AUSTIN, TEXAS, where she continued pushing the D+B sound at raves and clubs across TEXAS, COLORADO, CALIFORNIA, and even internationally in BRAZIL.

During her time in AUSTIN, she was one of the original resident DJs for MENTAL NOTE, a night dedicated to LIQUID FUNK and jazzy D+B at PLUSH nightclub. Now residing in CHICAGO, she’s embarked on a new chapter in her musical journey, sharing her passion for the faster tempos she loves with audiences across the MIDWEST.

Her high-BPM selections have given her the opportunity to play alongside some of her favorite producers including ADDISON GROOVE, ANDY C, DRUMAGICK, FABIO, LTJ BUKEM, LUKE VIBERT, NIKKI NAIR, RANDOM MOVEMENT, RONI SIZE, SAM BINGA, and TIM REAPER. 'THE GREENROOM' Guest Mix from SLANTOOTH - February 5, 2025

On WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 5th, STUNNA kicks off a brand new month of broadcasts in 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE Radio. In this week's session, STUNNA welcomes back seasoned selector SLANTOOTH to the program for an exclusive guest mix created exclusively for this edition.

Upon stumbling on a METALHEADZ promo tape in 1996, SLANTOOTH's (aka MICHAEL LENOIR) obsession for DRUM+BASS music has never waivered. Scouring every record store that the WEST COAST had to offer on a weekly basis, not to mention working at SEATTLE's infamous CONCEPTS RECORDS store with his D+B family NITSUJ and ZACHARIA from the 360 BPM CREW, along with weekly mail orders from SAN FRANCISCO's COMPOUND RECORDS, SLANTOOTH's selection and tastes go deep into the heart of DRUM+BASS. Becoming the buyer/owner of COMPOUND RECORDS SEATTLE in 2001, SLANTOOTH continued to build his love of D+B, an even sharper ear for the mix, and an arsenal of vinyl beats. Being one of the first residents of DnB TUESDAYS at THE BALTIC ROOM in SEATTLE (alongside the 360 BPM CREW and ALO), and RUSH HOUR SEATTLE at THE WAR ROOM, SLANTOOTH has warmed the decks for acts such as GOLDIE, JUMPING JACK FROST, DILLINJA, LEMON D, FIERCE, RYME TYME, ED RUSH, OPTICAL, SPIRIT, USUAL SUSPECTS, and many more.

Moving from behind the decks into the studio domain, SLANTOOTH's original productions have seen release with UK's DIVISION BASS label, as well as via SAN FRANCISCO's TECH SUPPORT RECORDINGS imprint. His latest offering, the 'UNDERGROUND REVIVAL' EP features 4 great tracks showcasing SLANTOOTH's signature sound is available worldwide in all fine digital outlets. In addition to DJing and music production, SLANTOOTH has found time to curate his own line of 'streetwear for the conscious masses': NOIR74 features a wide array of high-quality clothing accessories for all.

'THE GREENROOM' Guest Mix from JAMIE MYERSON - January 29, 2025

On WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 29th, STUNNA closes out the month of broadcasts in 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE Radio. In this week's edition, STUNNA welcomes back electronic music journeyman JAMIE MYERSON, as he unveils a brand new guest mix featuring his own productions.

JAMIE MYERSON's connection to DRUM+BASS music dates back to 1993 when he met DEGO of legendary REINFORCED RECORDS, and one half of the duo 4 HERO. JAMIE's first release on the label was "FIND YOURSELF," included on the prestigious 'ENFORCERS' compilation series (volumes 6 & 7). He followed his successful inaugural outing on the imprint with three more EPs under the JLM PRODUCTIONS moniker.

Between 1995 and 1996, JAMIE released tracks, such as “MUSIC FOR THE LONELY” on SM:)LE COMMUNICATIONS, “DECISIONS DECSIONS” on CRAMMED DISC, and “REVISIONS," featured on PAUL OAKENFOLD’s 'FLOURO' compilation. In 1997, JAMIE signed with JOSH WINK and KING BRITT’s OVUM RECORDINGS label, releasing “RESCUE ME” and “THE LISTEN PROJECT." The following years would see JAMIE remixing and producing for other artists, placing music in commercials and TV shows, as well as operating a recording studio business.

Recently, JAMIE has newfound inspiration in classic DRUM+BASS sounds, eponymously releasing new music on his BANDCAMP page, as well under his as under his JLM PRODUCTIONS guise for ASC's SPATIAL label. Having already released five EPs and a one full length LP on SPATIAL, JAMIE has currently been hard at work in the studio domain, crafting more forthcoming offerings for the heavily-lauded imprint, focused on finely-crafted, atmospheric DRUM+BASS music.
