On WEDNESDAY, JULY 17th, STUNNA presents another special installment of 'THE GREENROOM' BASSDRIVE radio. In this week's broadcast, STUNNA welcomes fellow CHICAGO-based selector DJ DANK the program for a special debut guest mix.
Initially drawn to the sounds of electronic music by the likes of BAD BOY BILL, BRIAN MIDDLETON, JULIAN PEREZ and the HOT MIX 5 crew of DJs, it wasn't until his first rave party experience at 'FUZE' in 1994 that DJ DANK (aka DAN KARP) found his love for the JUNGLE/DRUM+BASS community's energy and vibes. As an avid listener of the eclectic selections on local WNUR 89.3 radio shows and a regular crate-digger at legendary wax pusher GRAMAPHONE RECORDS, DANK became a familiar face and friends to local scene luminaries such as CASPER, SNUGGLES, 3D, PHANTOM 45, JJ JELLYBEAN, and DANNY THE WILDCHILD. With nearly three decades of experience behind the decks and organizing events, DJ DANK continues to move forward and spread the sound of JUNGLE/D+B, in all its various subgenres, to listeners around the globe.
