Hailing from the TOTTENHAM district of north LONDON, ENGLAND, SICKNOTE (aka LEWIS JOYCE) has spent the past few years honing his production craft as one third of the G.H.O.S.T. collective creating twisted and enthralling futuristic DRUM+BASS soundscapes with a heavy nod to old school JUNGLE. Recently splintering off to pursue further visions of these aesthetics, SICKNOTE has garnered praise for his recent solo offering for the legendary SKELETON RECORDINGS imprint and his collaborative efforts with fellow artists DISSECT and J BIONIC for the newly-established PAWS RECORDINGS label. Dedicated to the original art form, SICKNOTE is an avid vinyl and dubplate collector, with the well-trained ears of an experienced live sound engineer. His signature sound is tough, uncompromising, and true to the source: drums up front and bass down low.
