Beginning his career in the world of JUNGLE and DRUM+BASS music in 1994, RENAN (aka ERIK CEVALLOS) has continued to build his reputation both behind the decks and behind the scenes by promoting events around the CHICAGO area as well as co-founding the multi-service recording facility S.O.S. STUDIOS in 2011. Establishing an allegiance with like-minded local selectors, RENAN has curated the DNBiD crew in the form of various events, in-person and online, such as 'BASS RIOT,' 'RAGGAMUFFIN,' 'REFORM,' 'FUTR SOURCE,' and most recently, 'JUNGLE GOT SOUL' (a string of shows featuring both local and international acts at the city's NIGHTHAWK and EPIPHANY CENTER FOR THE ARTS venues). 'THE GREENROOM' Guest Mix from MOAKZ - April 29, 2026

On WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29th, STUNNA kicks off SEASON 21 of 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE Radio. During this week's installment, we're treated to a return visit from seasoned producer, DJ, and label head MOAKZ, as he unveils a new guest mix featuring both upfront sounds from himself and his revered CODENAME: RCRDS label.

SOUTHAMPTON, UK-based musician MOAKZ (aka JON MOAKES) has been DJing and crate digging since his teens. Resident and promoter for the highly regarded OFFSHORE & TOAST events in SOUTHAMPTON during the mid-late '90s and early '00s, MOAKZ was also an OLDSKOOL HARDCORE resident for ADRENALIN, alongside playing at numerous other events and free parties during this same period. He subsequently co-produced and released several NU SKOOL BREAKS tracks and remixes under the pseudonym MOBIUS on APE RECORDS, DUSTED BREAKS, VIM RECORDS, and YELLOW FINGER.

Energised by the contemporary JUNGLE and ATMOSPHERIC sounds, MOAKZ returned in 2021 with a new style and several releases in quick succession which merge ATMOSPHERIC elements with timeless breaks to deliver a mix of both epic dancefloor JUNGLE and serene melodies. Soaring AMENS, space-age synths and rolling bass combine perfectly in his music and DJ sets which draw on both the classic and modern JUNGLE and ATMOSPHERIC sounds (from time to time, showcasing elements of OLDSKOOL HARDCORE and more mature LIQUID FUNK and AUTONOMIC vibes.

A prolific DRUM+BASS producer with releases on labels such as OMNI MUSIC, LIQUID DROPS, DEFAULT RECORDINGS, FLOODLIGHT, and 1 MORE THING, MOAKZ launched the CODENAME: RCRDS imprint in 2023. With a flurry of well-received offerings on the label over the years from the likes of MINERAL, GREEKBOY, TRIDENT, WOKEN BALANCE, TRC2, COLD LEADER, NonRev, FOTUNE + CHANCE, OUTRIGGER, DATA B, OKEE, ErBass, INDIGO VIRUS, No_Name, DIGITAL ALTAIR, NOTHING, OPIUS, STARSKI, BLUEFOOTJAI, MIDNIGHT DUBS, FLIPPER + TONI BASSI, FREEBIRD, and NEWTYPE, in 2025, MOAKZ released his superb 'THE CRITICAL PATH' album on the label, in both digital and vinyl formats. BIRMINGHAM, UK-based DRUM+BASS artist TEKNICAL (aka CORY O'HAGAN) initially launched his career in music at the age of 13, DJing with his father, TONY SHAPE, and began producing music at age 16. He had his first song released shortly after his 18th birthday on VANDAL RECORDS with the track "SWITCH" on the various artist 'RAW CUTS VOL. 4' EP. Since then, TEKNICAL has moulded his sound and secured releases on high-profile labels such as C RECORDINGS, FX909 MUSIC, HEART TWICE RECORDS, INFLUENZA MEDIA, LIQUID DNB 4 AUTISM, and most recently, on his own imprint SUB WAVELENGTH RECORDINGS.

He's also DJ'd alongside many heavyweights, including FABIO, GROOVERIDER, and DJ MARKY. This JUNE, TEKNICAL will be on the lineup at the HYBRID MINDS show at the MADE festival in BIRMINGHAM.

Launched in APRIL 2023, SUB WAVELENGTH RECORDINGS is an underground DRUM+BASS label, releasing LIQUID FUNK, deep and dark sounds, and more experimental ventures from some of the scene's finest producers. Now three years into its journey, SPRING 2026 sees the SUB WAVELENGTH imprint set to release a brand new compilation of remixes from its ever-growing catalogue of music. Based out of the northwest city of LANCASTER, UK, LAYTN (aka ARRAN HUGHES) spent his formative years partying in and around LEEDS and MANCHESTER. After a period of time in the early 2000s experimenting with electronic sounds, frequenting sites like DOGS ON ACID and DRUM&BASS ARENA, LAYTN took a long break from the music scene. Following this long hiatus (and a career change), 2019 was the year he remermged to production with a renewed passion and interest in creating his own brand of DRUM+BASS music.

Over the past few years, LAYTN has refined his sound in the studio domain, and his music has graced a stable of high-profile labels including: 117 RECORDS, DECONSTRUCTED RECORDS, LOCKED UP MUSIC, MAKE OR BREAK, METIUS MUSIC, OFFISH PRODUCTIONS, and REPERTOIRE. With collaborative projects with ANDY SR, JEM ONE, OFFISH, SEKL, and SILENCE GROOVE, LAYTN has also built a strong musical relationship with revered producer and mastering engineer FANU. Over the past few years, the pair have bounced around many ideas, and FANU's expertise and assistance has had a massive influence on LAYTN as he continues to flourish as a D+B producer on the rise.

'THE GREENROOM' Guest Mix from NATION - March 25, 2026

On WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25th, STUNNA closes out an action-packed month of broadcasts in 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE radio. During this week's edition, STUNNA welcomes UK-based duo NATION to the program for an exclusive guest mix.

NATION is CRAGGZ (CRAIG JAMES) and HASTE (TOM JOHNSON), two longtime friends with storied pasts in the world of HARDCORE, JUNGLE and DRUM+BASS music, coming together to have a laugh and make a few beats. It’s a celebration of their love for the sounds that totally changed their lives in the early to mid '90s and continue to excite them to this day.

CRAGGZ's journey into HARDCORE began when he attended THE REZERECTION rave in 1991 as a 16 year old, hearing the sounds of GROOVERIDER, CARL COX, and STU ALLEN changed his life. Growing up in NEWCASTLE and playing in DEATH METAL band MUTANT, from the age of 14, and on the verge of signing a major record label deal, he jacked it all in, cut his hair off and focused solely on dance music overnight. He attended lots of raves post 1991: FANTAZIA at DONINGTON PARK and CLUB LABRYNTH, to name a few. He was hooked, and followed HARDCORE to JUNGLE then DRUM+BASS. His first major breakthrough came when he signed to DILLINJA's VALVE label as CRAGGZ AND PARALLEL FORCES, with production partner DOUG. World tours, albums, multiple releases and their own PRODUCT label saw them keeping extremely busy in the D+B scene for years. Wanting change, the duo left the original name behind and switched to BATTERY in 2015 to focus on a deeper sound, continuing to release hard-hitting D+B across legendary labels such as METALHEADZ, DISPATCH, RAM, and RENEGADE HARDWARE, to name a few. In 2026, BATTERY founded the MAJESTY imprint alongside good mate and production partner PHILTH, as a label, radio show, club night and general ethos for their attitude to beat making.

HASTE locked on to the growing HARDCORE sound emerging in the early '90s, hearing tunes through the fuzzy crackle of FM pirates in LONDON and snatching glimpses of acts on TV shows like 'DANCE ENERGY.' After properly catching the JUNGLE bug in 1994, he started collecting vinyl at every opportunity and ventured onto pirates like RUDE FM and RUUE AWAKENING, as well as getting involved in the UK GARAGE scene as it started to explode. After drifting away from the D+B sound of the late '90s, he focused on building an enviable collection of old skool records, continuing to be a serious vinyl collector to this day.

He set up RollDaBeats in the early 2000s with co-founder THIJS (aka TARZAN) and built up a strong community dedicated to cataloguing releases and old skool history. The site started out as a DISCOGS competitor, but through its forum, contributors became a source of old skool-related info over the years, used by countless DJs and music aficionados to research and relive the golden era of HARDCORE and JUNGLE. After stepping away from the music scene for a few years, HASTE caught the production bug again. Upon flat-sharing with CRAGGZ and seeing him at work, HASTE started releasing retro-influenced JUNGLE tracks on his own TWILIGHT label in 2023.

NATION is the continuation of both producers' love for the old skool HARDCORE and JUNGLE sounds, coupled with the darker aesthetics of ROCK and METAL, genres of music that the two have followed for decades and initially bonded over as mates. With a huge crossover in skills, the balance works perfectly: both artists have been producing separately since the '90s, and have their own sounds and influences. Coming from the hyper-produced D+B world, CRAGGZ amps up the technical side of things with decades of cutting-edge production techniques, particularly around sound design and mixing. HASTE brings a deep understanding of musicality, arrangement and sample digging, as well as handling the artistic output for the brand. This all comes together to create an ultra-polished end result that retains the grit and energy of the retro sound. With enough NATION music in the bag for an entire album, the duo will be putting limited vinyl and digital releases out from 2026 onwards, mixing TECHNO-influenced HARDCORE vibes, with BREAK-heavy JUNGLE and atmospheric flavors.

On WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18th, STUNNA moves deeper into the month of broadcasts in 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE radio. In this week's session, STUNNA welcomes versatile DJ and producer RISC to the show, for a special debut guest mix during the program.

RISC (aka BRAD NELSON) is an internationally-recognized DJ and recording artist producing under the monikers DJ EVOL and RISC. Over the years, his music has been featured on BBC RADIO, FUEL TV, SCION AV, SPOTIFY, ITunes, and SOUNDCLOUD. The DJ EVOL moniker has been an established player on the international DRUM+BASS scene for many years, releasing on highly lauded UK labels such as TRUE PLAYAZ, URBAN TAKEOVER, GRID, and CIA RECORDINGS. Originally from CHICAGO, RISC has found a home in LOS ANGELES and brings years of experience in BASS MUSIC production from residencies and radio airtime to the WEST COAST.

An original member of L.A.'s seminal SMOG collective, he was featured on the very first release from the crew's own record label. The inaugural release's smash hit "SICKNESS" was played on heavy rotation by PLASTICIAN on RINSE FM, and subsequently promoted in his 'WAKE UP CALL' mix in 2008. A respected name in the international electronic music community known for his versatility, BRAD has produced TECHNO under RISC for GREEN VELVET's RELIEF RECORDS, UKR RECORDS, EATS EVERYTHING EIGHT RECORDS, and BERLIN's GND RECORDS. Always bringing a unique, catchy, dancefloor approach to his production, his tracks have a humbling feeling, with memorable synth lines and an array of funky drums and rhythm.

Currently, RISC has been busy at work with 'THE PURPLE TAPES PROJECT' for the TORONTO-based INNER CITY DANCE imprint. With a strong nod and respect to the '90s era DOPE DRAGON, CHRONIC, PHILLY BLUNT, and FULL CYCLE RECORDS sound, 'THE PURPLE TAPES PROJECT' showcases RISC's prowess in the studio domain, as he captures these classic vibes, and pairs them with modern studio production. PHANTOM 45 (aka BRIAN SARPALIUS) began his storied DJ career in 1987, playing early HOUSE music in his hometown of CHICAGO. After a few years spinning HOUSE, he graduated to early UK HARDCORE, the precursor to JUNGLE/DRUM+BASS.  D+B is the music style PHANTOM 45 is most well known for championing. He mixes it with a smooth style (much like a classic CHICAGO HOUSE DJ), with long blends and proper tune selections. PHANTOM 45 has traveled extensively over the years, playing for thousands of people in warehouses, festivals, and club date tours with his musical colleague DANNY THE WILDCHILD. He's released music and mixes on major labels such as MOONSHINE, SUBURBAN BASE, ROCKERS 175, SHOOT RECORDINGS and SURGE RECORDINGS. UK-based artist DJ TRAX (aka DAVE DAVIES) began his musical journey at a young age. He started drumming at 7, DJing at 12, and at 15, he formed the HIP HOP group MIXRACE alongside two MCs (DEV PARADOX and LEKE AEROSOUL). TRAX released his first track in 1991 on BRAIN RECORDS alongside DJ RAW. That same year, TRAX and DEV PARADOX signed to the MOVING SHADOW imprint. Over the next three years, he released solo 12"s on MOVING SHADOW under 'DJ TRAX' and joint releases with DEV under the 'MIXRACE' moniker.

In 1994, TRAX + PARADOX set up 5 record companies with SCOTT W and GARY S: MIXRACE PRODUCTIONS, MOBHANDED, NAUTILUS, OFFSET, and STRONGHOLD. They released a few dozen 12"s on the labels, both solo, and as a duo (as 'BROWN + DANGERMAN'). DAVE and DEV also collaborated with HYPER ON EXPERIENCE on the STRONGHOLD RECORDS and TIMELESS RECORDINGS imprints. From 1997 to 2003, DJ TRAX mainly focused on DOWNTEMPO/LEFTFIELD music. He released an album and two 12"s on LACERBA RECORDS an also had offerings for the GOOD LOOKING, KRIZTAL, MOLE, BEATS + PIECES, and HED KANDI imprints. From 2003 to 2009 TRAX released two further albums: "1,000 PICTURES," and "THOUGHTS IN WIDESCREEN" (which was featured on the front cover of an issue of KNOWLEDGE MAGAZINE).

Over the years, DJ TRAX has collaborated with many other esteemed artists by the likes of NAIBU, RICKY FORCE, NUCLEUS, DSP, MACC, INFEST, CRYOGENICS, ENJOY, KJ SAWKA, and BECKI BIGGINS. He has had successful releases on labels such as OUTSIDER MUSIC, PARADOX MUSIC, OCYRIS, AKO BEATZ, OMNI MUSIC, SKELETON RECORDINGS, TEMPO RECORDS, TRANSMUTE, NEXT PHASE, SUBVERT CENTRAL, SUBTLE AUDIO, CRISIS, SUBURBAN ARCHITECTURE, MISSPENT MUSIC, OKBRON, OVER/SHADOW, SCIENTIFIC RECORDS, DALSTON CHILLIES, OFFSHORE, REPERTOIRE, SYNCOPATHIC, and his own imprint: AUDIO BUFFET. He released a series of EPs with U.S.-based HIP HOP group ASSORTED ANONYMOUS, ultimately followed by a vinyl album. Alongside a plethora of DRUM+BASS releases over the years, TRAX has also written for many TV/multimedia projects and scored music included in the 2008 feature film 'SHIFTY.'

On WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 18th, STUNNA moves deeper into the month of broadcasts in 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE Radio. In this week's edition, STUNNA welcomes back seasoned selector SLANTOOTH for his third appearance on the program, armed with a brand new guest mix created exclusively for this session.

Upon stumbling on a METALHEADZ promo tape in 1996, SLANTOOTH's (aka MICHAEL LENOIR) obsession for DRUM+BASS music has never waivered. Scouring every record store that the WEST COAST had to offer on a weekly basis, not to mention working at SEATTLE's infamous CONCEPTS RECORDS store with his D+B family NITSUJ and ZACHARIA from the 360 BPM CREW, along with weekly mail orders from SAN FRANCISCO's COMPOUND RECORDS LTD, SLANTOOTH's selection and tastes go deep into the heart of DRUM+BASS. Becoming the buyer/owner of COMPOUND RECORDS LTD SEATTLE in 2001, SLANTOOTH continued to build his love of D+B, an even sharper ear for the mix, and an arsenal of vinyl beats. Being one of the first residents of DnB TUESDAYS at THE BALTIC ROOM in SEATTLE (alongside the 360 BPM CREW and ALO), and RUSH HOUR SEATTLE at THE WAR ROOM, SLANTOOTH has warmed the decks for scene luminaries the likes of GOLDIE, JUMPING JACK FROST, DILLINJA, LEMON D, FIERCE, RYME TYME, ED RUSH, OPTICAL, SPIRIT, USUAL SUSPECTS, and many more.

Moving from behind the decks into the studio domain, SLANTOOTH's original productions have seen release with UK's DIVISION BASS label, via SAN FRANCISCO's TECH SUPPORT RECORDINGS imprint, and forthcoming pressure on his home base COMPOUND RECORDS LTD. In addition to DJing and music production, SLANTOOTH has found time to curate his own line of 'streetwear for the conscious masses': NOIR74 features a wide array of high-quality clothing accessories for all.

'THE GREENROOM' Guest Mix from MATCHAY - January 14, 2026

On WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14th, STUNNA presents another special edition of 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE Radio. In this week's installment, STUNNA welcomes CHICAGO-based selector MATCHAY to the program for a special debut guest mix during the broadcast.

Originally from POLAND, burgeoning DRUM+BASS/JUNGLE DJ on the rise MATCHAY (aka MACIEJ SKURA) is now based in the northwest suburbs of CHICAGO where he's been honing is skills behind the decks. His selections blend different flavors of low-end bass music (BREAKBEATS, FOOTWORK, HOUSE, and GARAGE) with a style that draws subtle influences from JAZZ, HIP-HOP, and REGGAE.

MATCHAY was first introduced to DRUM+BASS music over a decade ago, then shortly thereafter, to JUNGLE, which he now loves to spin more than anything else. Spending countless hours digging for new music and traveling back in time discovering older gems, MATCHAY approaches DJing as a form of storytelling, using careful track selections and rhythms to shape each mix into a cohesive journey.
